Once your face is completely numb, your Dallas microneedling treatment begins. The Eclipse MicroPen we use has no visible needles, so if you are squeamish around needles, rest assured that you have nothing to fear at Mara’s!
Your medical esthetician will pass the pen over your skin in small sections several times. After each pass, your esthetician will apply a custom-blended serum designed to increase the treatment results. The process should be painless due to the numbing cream, although some patients report a slight tickle or scratching sensation.
Once the procedure is complete, your esthetician will apply a cooling and calming mask to reduce inflammation and redness, followed by a luxurious calming cream.
The final step is receiving after-care instructions, and then you are on your way!
After-Procedure Skin Care For Dallas Microneedling Treatments
After your microneedling session, you can expect your skin to be pinkish-red for 24-48 hours. You may feel as if you have a sunburn. If you experience discomfort or inflammation after the numbing cream begins wearing off, an ice pack may help reduce irritation.
Starting 48 hours after your Dallas microneedling appointment and lasting up to five days, your skin may flake as your derma layer begins active repairs and releases collagen.
